If I laugh maybe these emotions will no longer be worn on my sleeve
Hiding the feeling that all this brings
Pulling me by my arms telling me I'm all you need
Boy please!
I refuse to be the fool again
Drained from these games you little boys play like some darn  hooligans You see I was born with this pain at hand
My mother was a junkie I never stood a chance
Innocence stripped from me
Oh my god it was ripped from me!
But I stand yes I stand on these pretty feet
Grounded
& I don't think my perverted father felt my heart pounding
I was scared to breath
Shunned from that abuse
I was scared to leave
I couldn't help myself
Why couldn't I help myself?
I was blasted with this expressive mind
I don't want to carry this train of pain on my own
I need you to take the heartache & make me strong
Be the man your portraying yourself to be
I want to be loved but not just loved
I need an unconditional type love,
Being "IN" love not to just be loved by you
Cause see you can love everybody
That's not worth much in this generation we are in
You have to show for it
Actions are needed to justify your love, much more than what your paying for it
You cant just say I love you anymore
Having it being taken to the heart, no buddy you wont walk through this door
You wont just say I've fallen for you & expect to receive trust
& the same infatuation in return
Your access will be denied
But if I laugh maybe these emotions will no longer be worn on my sleeves...
Maybe if I just smile & laugh he wont notice these fears my heart so vividly sheds & bleeds.....
